Pretty Lights

Pretty Lights
I always love some great lights when it comes to hair! This time of year I can’t help but be inspired by all of the twinkling Christmas lights everywhere, and was inclined to do some research on where the tradition came from.
Did you know that the Christmas Tree was first adopted in Germany? Candles were the main source of decoration for the “tannenbaum” although they were expensive at the time. Christmas trees grew popular during the beginning of the 20th century, and by the mid 20th century, electric lights grew in popularity around Europe. By the 1960’s we were decorating trees (and houses!) in the States.
From LA to Chicago, I love walking down the streets and being surrounded by lights. As a Master Colorist I’m always taking inspiration in, every chance I get, and I can’t help but be inspired by the twinkling lights of Christmas. Here’s my ode to the holidays, and to Christmas lights! Enjoy! And Happy Holidays :)
