From Hawaii, With Love
Aloha, my lovelies!
I am pretty sure you’ve guessed it by now– I’ve been basking in the glow of Maui’s unreal sunlight these past few days. Believe it or not, I went to Maui for work; this is one of the factors of the career I’ve cultivated as a Master Hair Colorist that I love the most– I get to travel a lot! I don’t remember the last time a month went by without me being on an airplane at least three times to go teach a hair color education class. This works for me because I love to travel (I will never complain about living out of a suitcase) and because I tend to get restless if I stay put for too long.
Another reason why this trip to Maui was an exceptionally special one for me is because it fell directly in the middle of my birthday and was the first one in my life that I’ve spent solo. As I believe one should on their birthday, I decided to treat myself by letting go and truly relaxing which isn’t too much of a challenge on a beautiful island. I feel so grateful for the people in my life and the work that I do. I am quite literally living my dream and I can’t wait to see what this year holds in store.
Today, I am off to Las Vegas (talk about a change of pace) to teach a few classes there before I jet back to Chicago for classes, clients, and family. The weather was so beautiful, I couldn’t get enough of it. I was basking in the glow for as long as possible until I had to teach! My amazing photographer, Eddie, got me this lei and it smelled divine.
Loved shooting this– getting creative with photos is something that I really enjoy doing. Also, these rocks were surprisingly comfortable to lay on.
In this picture, I am thinking: “This is truly paradise.”
