These Hair Color Trends Will Be Huge in 2016

These Hair Color Trends Will Be Huge in 2016

As soon as the ball dropped, the predictions started pouring out. The what’s what and who’s who of 2016 is up for the taking. What do you think will steal the show for the hottest hair color trends of 2016? When it comes to Hair Color Trends, 2015 saw a lot of diversity. From subdued pastels to rainbow roots, unnatural hair colors definitely had their time in the spotlight. That will continue this year, but with a new edge. I’m also feeling an evolution of Ronze and Rose Gold, not to mention some gorgeous natural painted on browns and blondes. Keep reading to find out more! Playing up fashion’s hottest colors: Pantone’s Hair Colors of the Year were definitely heavy hitting on social media, and many of our favorite bloggers have already begun to serenade the colors with outfit and hair/beauty posts. Even Sephora created a line featuring the baby blue and baby pink hues. We can definitely expect to see more of this when it comes to hot new hair color trends of 2016. Reddish tones and hybrid colors: Ronze and Rose Gold were among the top of my list last year, and this year we can expect these tones to become even more dominant. Haven’t experimented with your perfect shade of red yet? 2016 might be the perfect time to try! We will also start seeing more mixes of colors, or “color hybrids” like Bronde (a mix of brown and blonde). All Natural: Blondes & brunettes will take on a more natural look in 2016. Painted in highlights in a complimentary range of shades will be woven in throughout the hair, creating some gorgeous color dimension. The Buttery Blonde trend from last year will get a littler more caramel-y. Wishing you a gorgeous 2016! My Ronze Exclusive for The Colorist is Out!

My Ronze Exclusive for The Colorist is Out!

On Monday, one of my major goals as a Master Hair Colorist came to fruition: My exclusive was featured in The Colorist. For those of you who don’t know, I have been a hair colorist (and after living and breathing the craft, a Master Hair Colorist) for over fourteen years. Throughout that time one of the publications that I read (and still read) to inspire me and keep me in-the-know was The Colorist, so clearly this is a very special moment for me. This article extremely fun to do because there is a video component included (I love doing video). Together with The Colorist and my incredible team of models and camera geniuses we put together something very special- check it out here. You can also purchase the hard-copy where you will see my article on page 18. The article is centered around one of my absolute favorite trends for Fall/Winter: Ronze. Now that the weather is sufficiently chilly it may inspire you to take the leap and try the color out for yourself. Below, I put together a quick list of reasons why this Ronze has so much staying power well into the merriest season of all.   As a Master Hair Colorist what makes a shade a winner is its versatility. Ronze is and extremely versatile shade, it can work on literally everyone. Ronze is the perfect shade for this season because it compliments the cold weather so well. It is a fresh take on the darker Fall/Winter colors that we typically see during this time of year. Ronze is daring yet still oh-so-elegant! There are very few colors that satisfy both criteria and Ronze is one of them. In my years as a Master Hair Colorist, I have known this to be a major challenge for many of my clients and Ronze is a solution that is anything but basic. Ronze is not a very saturated tone which means that as it starts to fade out it still maintains integrity and looks natural. As a Master Hair Colorist I have essentially trained myself to be extremely sensitive to recognizing nuance in color. I am always seeking to translate inspiration in my environment into gorgeous shades of hair color. My inspiration for the various formulations of Ronze that I mix for my clients come directly for the gorgeous sunsets we have in Southern California. Master Hair Colorist Picks the Top 3 Hair Looks from the 2015 Emmy Awards

Master Hair Colorist Picks the Top 3 Hair Looks from the 2015 Emmy Awards

Last night was the 2015 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles and our favorite television stars certainly did not disappoint! The gorgeous women who walked the red carpet at the Emmy Awards were definitely rocking some of Fall’s hottest hair color trends. There were so many stunning hair looks from this years Emmy Awards which made it extremely difficult for this Master Hair Colorist to select just three. But, I finally managed to do it! So, without further ado, here are my picks for the Top 3 Hair Looks from the 2015 Emmy Awards: My number one spot has to go to the ever-sexy Christina Hendricks! I’ve always loved Christina Hendricks’ red locks; Not only is she out of this world stunning, but her hair only adds to her gorgeous complexion. However, I have never loved her look more than I did at the Emmy Awards because she was rocking my absolute favorite hair color trend of Fall 2015: Ronze! Her light rose-gold hair was the perfect compliment to the exquisite gold detailing on her dress and the feminine pink hue in her makeup. This Mad Men bombshell made quite the exist as it was the last awards cycle for the iconic show. I can’t wait to see what she does next! In the number two spot for this years Emmy Awards we have Lady Gaga! Lady Gaga is another one of my favorites because she’s inventive and a risk-taker. I may not always love the looks she comes up with, but I appreciate someone who isn’t afraid to do things outside the box. At the 2015 Emmy Awards Lady Gaga was channeling Marilyn Monroe with her sleek blond hair and sophisticated black gown. Who would have guessed she could do minimal so well? Last, but certainly not least, on my list is Kerry Washington. The Scandal star was rocking yet another one of my favorite hair color trends for fall: Tortoise Shell! Check out the gorgeous chestnut highlights below the top of the hair creating a breathtaking, yet low maintenance look. What were some of your favorite hair color and style looks from the 2015 Emmy Awards? Let me know in the comments!   Renee Taglia is Master Hair Colorist based in a Beverly Hills California.
