3 Innovative Ways To Fight Hair Static

3 Innovative Ways To Fight Hair Static

It happens to the best of us: FRIZZ and STATIC! Especially now that winter’s in full swing for most of us, slipping in and out of jackets, scarves and sweaters only seems to make it worse. Whether you’re traveling or need to get rid of a few flyaways before your next Tinder date, here are a few easy tips that are sure to conquer all hair static! 1. Products:  Try Hair Spray or Chihtsai No 12 Instant Treatment. It’s an amazing leave in. It’s smart to keep a travel-sized bottle in your hair so that whenever you’re in a bind, you can simply spritz or pump, and your hair will be back to gorgeous! 2. Unconventional Fix: Dryer Sheets! Did you know that wrapping your brush or comb in a dryer sheet will help eliminate static? You can also try wiping them over your hair to get rid of those pesky fly aways. Works like a charm! 3. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Lotions and any kind of added moisture, when used sparingly, are great at helping alleviate static. You can also keep a humidifier in your house to ensure that the air your hair breathes is full of moisture. Watch how magically a little moisture will cure your static woes! I hope this post helps your eliminate static for good! Got any of your own tips on fighting static? I’d love to know what they are! Nothing says sexy like letting your hair down with this look. Don’t forget your red lipstick! SULTRY yet SOPHISTICATED  I love this look on Jessica Biel. Her loosely swept back bun is so classy yet still speaks volumes when it comes to sexiness. Pair it with some stunning earrings and you’ll surely be turning heads all weekend while letting your hair down! GIRL NEXT DOOR  For a sweet “girl next door” look, braids are always a great idea. Best of the Golden Globes 2016

Best of the Golden Globes 2016

Happy Monday everyone! How great was last week’s Golden Globes? There were some serious red carpet statements this year, along with gorgeous hair and makeup to boot. Here are a few of my favorites from the red carpet at this year’s Golden Globes: I just loved Kate Hudson’s strappy nude Michael Kors dress. It was interesting to see the cutouts in the front, which also showcased her tone figure, as opposed to the back, which was fully covered and added to the classiness of the look. As for her hair, rumor has it, her stylist, David Babaii, cut it into a bob right before her red carpet entrance! I love the bit of root peeping through the blonde which definitely makes the look more natural. Jennifer Lawerence is always flawless. Her ravishing red Dior gown and her platinum bob were on point. I also love the darker toned brows. And not to mention, how about that acceptance speech? Closing the show on this blog is JLo in a stunning yellow gown by Giambattista Valli which was somewhat reminicient of Rhianna’s 2015 MET Gala look. Her hair was styled by L’Oreal hairstylist Lorenzo Martin Jr. who mentioned in a Hollywood Life article, that he created “a classic Hollywood look with her hair slightly flipped and parted to the side.”  From her jewelry to her deep red pout, this look is total perfection. Which were your favorite Golden Globe looks of 2016? Let me know in the comments below! These Hair Color Trends Will Be Huge in 2016

These Hair Color Trends Will Be Huge in 2016

As soon as the ball dropped, the predictions started pouring out. The what’s what and who’s who of 2016 is up for the taking. What do you think will steal the show for the hottest hair color trends of 2016? When it comes to Hair Color Trends, 2015 saw a lot of diversity. From subdued pastels to rainbow roots, unnatural hair colors definitely had their time in the spotlight. That will continue this year, but with a new edge. I’m also feeling an evolution of Ronze and Rose Gold, not to mention some gorgeous natural painted on browns and blondes. Keep reading to find out more! Playing up fashion’s hottest colors: Pantone’s Hair Colors of the Year were definitely heavy hitting on social media, and many of our favorite bloggers have already begun to serenade the colors with outfit and hair/beauty posts. Even Sephora created a line featuring the baby blue and baby pink hues. We can definitely expect to see more of this when it comes to hot new hair color trends of 2016. Reddish tones and hybrid colors: Ronze and Rose Gold were among the top of my list last year, and this year we can expect these tones to become even more dominant. Haven’t experimented with your perfect shade of red yet? 2016 might be the perfect time to try! We will also start seeing more mixes of colors, or “color hybrids” like Bronde (a mix of brown and blonde). All Natural: Blondes & brunettes will take on a more natural look in 2016. Painted in highlights in a complimentary range of shades will be woven in throughout the hair, creating some gorgeous color dimension. The Buttery Blonde trend from last year will get a littler more caramel-y. Wishing you a gorgeous 2016! 3 Ways To Rock the Mint Green Hair Trend

3 Ways To Rock the Mint Green Hair Trend

From fashion and nail polish to celebrity hair color, mint green has proven to be a hue with staying power. Mint green hair is anything but subtle, and although the color seems like it matches with nothing in your closet, somehow mint green goes with everything! No matter how or where you rock this trendy hair color, you will surely turn heads. Have you been wondering why mint green hair is so popular and want to find a way to incorporate the hair color into your own personal style? Master hair colorist Renee Taglia has recognized three celebrity-inspired ways to add mint green hair into your look.  Dip Dye “I love Rita Ora’s take on the color. By keeping the base blonde, her mint green dye starts at the base of her ponytail and cascades into a soft blue.  This ombre hair color effect looks great with her blue shades!”   All Over Color “Kylie Jenner, Lena Dunham, Katie Perry and Lady Gaga have all rocked this mint green hair trend. Where pastels and pinks are pretty and soft, green is unapologetically bold. If you’re looking to make the ultimate hair statement with mint green, go big or go home!”      Just The Tips “Mint Green is generally a low-commitment shade, as it can tend to wash out after a few weeks. I love how Kate Bosworth incorporated the color with soft mint green tips. It’s the prefect combination of subtle yet statement-making.”   Where does Renee find her greens?  Recently Renee took a peregrination to Scottsdale, AZ where she was completely blown away at the abundance of green within the landscapes. From the yellow green Palm Trees to the Mauve- Green cacti in the deserts, Renee was in awe of richness in tonality. The are several shades and undertones of greens that can suit every skin tone. It’s up to the Colorist to find the perfect hue for you.
